Our Story

About Vintage Malibu

In 2017, a small group of passionate individuals in Malibu came together from their sending church, Vintage Santa Monica, with a shared vision: to create a church that felt like home for everyone and to build a community where God’s love and truth could touch the city of Malibu. This group began gathering regularly, forming the early foundation of Vintage Church Malibu.

Inspired by Psalm 68:5-6, which reminds us that “God places the lonely in families,” we are committed to this mission. Vintage Church, rooted in both Word and Spirit, has become a vibrant and welcoming place where people from all backgrounds gather, grow in their faith, and support each other.

In 2022, Chris Bennett became the Lead Pastor and over the last couple of years Vintage Church Malibu has continued to expand its reach and deepen its impact with a focus on becoming a Jesus-centered family, making disciples, and serving the city of Malibu and beyond.

Today, Vintage Church Malibu is more than a Sunday gathering; it is a community of imperfect people, dedicated to embodying Jesus’ example, growing in their faith and being transformed by the power of the gospel.
