Our Beliefs

Our Mission

To be a Jesus-centered family, making disciples and serving our city by bringing Heaven everywhere, to everyone.

OUR VALUES

Family

We are far from perfect, down to earth, and laugh at ourselves a lot. We practice radical hospitality, seek authentic relationships, embrace diversity and want everyone to feel welcome in our church family.

Word

We are committed to humble, gracious orthodoxy as it has been taught for thousands of years. We don’t reinvent the wheel, and we seek to teach the Bible in a way that is faithful, humble, thoughtful, and loving.

Spirit

We want to be a community living in the power and presence of the Holy Spirit – practicing the gifts of the Spirit and displaying the fruit of the Spirit, without being hyped-up or unloving.

Formation

We believe in Jesus and follow His example, becoming like Him as we live out His lifestyle and practices.

Mission

We love our city and all the people in it and are passionate for everyone to explore Jesus in love and without judgment. We desire our community to be known for loving, serving and renewing the city.

OUR BELIEFS

We accept wholeheartedly the revelation of God given in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments and confess the faith summarized in the historic statements of the Christian church, being the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed.

The following doctrines are crucial to the understanding and proclamation of the gospel and to practical Christian living:

  • The sovereignty and grace of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in creation, providence, revelation, redemption and final judgment.
  • The divine inspiration of Holy Scripture and its consequent entire trustworthiness and supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
  • The universal sinfulness and guilt of human nature since the fall, bringing everyone under God’s wrath and condemnation.
  • The substitutionary sacrifice of the incarnate Son of God as the sole ground of redemption from the guilt, penalty and power of sin.
  • The justification of the sinner by the grace of God through faith alone in Christ crucified and risen from the dead.
  • The illuminating, indwelling, empowering, gift-giving,
fruit generating and sanctifying work of God the Holy Spirit in the believer.
  • The unity and common priesthood of all true believers, who together form the one universal Church, the Body of which Christ is the Head.
  • The expectation of the personal, visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
